MD or PhD Investigators

The Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and the Center for Health Information Partnerships (CHIP) at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University are seeking clinician investigators, MDs, and Ph.D. investigators at the rank of Assistant Professor, full-time status, with an anticipated start date of academic year 2016/2017. Our faculty includes physicians and social scientists who explore a wide variety of topics and methodologies, including health services research, health promotion and behavior change, quality improvement, population health,
epidemiology, and clinical informatics.

CHIP has a vision for “information-driven health for all.” The CHIP team engages in projects that expand and improve the use of health information technology, develops and implements novel ways to share and integrate data, disseminates effective clinical quality improvement practices, and leads public and population health projects.

Applicants working in any of these areas are encouraged to apply. There are ample opportunities available for collaboration with researchers at the Institute for Public Health and Medicine, Center for Healthcare Studies, Department of Preventive Medicine, Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies, Buehler Center on Aging, Northwestern Memorial
Hospital, Chicago-area Veteran’s Administration Hospitals, and our affiliated Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Tenure status and salary are to be determined based on qualifications and experience.
