CHIP Faculty, Staff, and Students Receive Awards & Honors from AMIA

A number of CHIP faculty and students were recently recognized by the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) for their hard work, dedication, and expertise.

First, CHIP Director Abel Kho and CHIP Faculty Yuan Luo earned the following AMIA Signature Awards:

CHIP Associate Director Theresa Walunas will earn the prestigious designation of Fellow of AMIA (FAMIA) as of May 2021.

CHIP Doctoral Research Assistant Jiancheng Ye received an AMIA Leadership and Education Award Donation (LEAD) fund trainee award.

CHIP Doctoral Research Assistants Jiancheng Ye, Steven Tran, and Noah Forrest advanced in the Student Design Challenge to have the opportunity to present at the AMIA 2020 Virtual Annual Symposium.
