On May 1, Dr. Abel Kho spoke on a panel at Dev4Health, a two day conference sponsored by HIMSS exploring how data sharing can improve health care for patients and doctors. The panel, hosted by Matthew Holt, co-chairman of Health 2.0, was titled “The Decentralized Future of Healthcare.” The panel discussion focused on the promises and perils of blockchain technology, a secure and permanent digital record of online transactions and exchanges, and the role it can play in decentralizing the future of healthcare. Other panelists included Emily Vaughn, Product Development Director at Change Healthcare, and Tim Dunlevy, VP of Engineering at Pokitdok.
